Your motorcycle tour in Nepal will begin and end in Kathmandu. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, your driver will be waiting just across the road outside the arrivals area, holding a Himalayan Rides sign.
If you’re arriving one or two days before the tour begins, your airport transfer to the hotel is included in the tour price.
We recommend staying at Hotel Ambassador in Kathmandu, and we’re happy to assist with bookings for any pre- or post-tour nights. This will also be our meeting point on Day 1. If you're staying elsewhere, you’ll need to arrange your own transport to Hotel Ambassador that morning.
The first and last days of your motorcycle tour are set aside for travel, and we ask that you arrive no later than 12 noon on Day 1, and schedule your departure no earlier than 8 am on the final day.
To make your journey smoother, we highly recommend arriving in Kathmandu a day or two in advance to account for any potential delays and to help acclimatize to the local time zone.
